Please join us to discuss ACCA's latest research into technical trends. This event will have a particular focus on how technology is reshaping the role of the accountant, with specific insights into staying in front of the trends.
John Winter, head of ACCA Australia and New Zealand, along with a guest speaker will share findings from our latest research as well as present a compelling case study on how the latest technology trends (digitalisation, mobility, social media etc) are reshaping the role of accounting professionals.
Topics for discussion will include:
· Overview on the technology changes in Australia and New Zealand
· Australia and New Zealand's competitive advantages compared to the rest of Asia Pacific and the USA - is ANZ a leader, ladder or adaptor?

Head of ACCA Australia & New Zealand
John became Head of ANZ for ACCA, the global body for professional accountants, in September 2011. Prior to this, John worked as a senior marketing and communications professional across industries including business services, recruitment, banking and finance. A key focus of his approach has been the creation of thought-leadership research, especially in the areas of workplace and industry trends. One of the last research pieces that John oversaw prior to joining ACCA was a white paper on the future role and challenges of the CFO.
Earlier in his career John was Head of Economic Research for a major professional services firm. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Economics and Finance) from UNSW.
