Preparing trusts tax returns | the Tax Institute

Event:
This practical workshop will step you through the key issues in trusts compliance work to ensure you can confidently deal with clients’ trusts returns.
Learning Outcomes
At the completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:
·    Confidently read a trust deed
·    Assess whether a trust deed is in accordance with current law and practice
·    Ensure that resolutions recorded in the minutes are consistent with the provisions of the trust deed
·    Accurately assess the working file and identify what is missing
·    Confidently deal with unusual and difficult items in a trusts tax return

This workshop is designed for practitioners who are either new to the profession or who are looking for a refresher in trusts compliance work.
